Day 1 - Friday
Depart Bellingham this evening aboard the Alaska Ferry. Sail north along Vancouver Island. Overnight on board the ferry.

Day 2 -Saturday
The day is spent at sea along Canada's Inside Passage. Watch for Bald Eagles while sailing through the Grenville Channel. Overnight on board the ferry.

Day 3 - Sunday
After a stop in Ketchikan continue on the ferry north. Port calls include Wrangell, then a transit of the Wrangell Narrows enroute to Petersburg. Overnight on board the ferry.

Day 4 - Monday
Call in Juneau , then continue north on the Lynn Canal to Skagway . Overnight in Skagway

Day 5 - Tuesday
Skagway to Whitehorse: 122 miles
Board the White Pass & Yukon Railroad today for the trip over the Whit Pass to Fraser , BC . Connect with the motorcoach and continue into Whitehorse .   Overnight in Whitehorse .

Depart:    8:00 am        Arrive:    1:00 pm

Day 6 - Wednesday
Take Gray Line of Alaska today north along the historic Alaska Highway . You will pass Kluane Lake .   Overnight in Beaver Creek.

Depart:   8:30 am             Arrive:   4:30 pm

Day 7 - Thursday
Beaver Creek to Fairbanks 314 mile
Continue with Gray Line of Alaska .   Today you will see the trans-Alaska oil pipeline near Delta, Alaska , and travel through the scenic Tanana River Valley to Fairbanks . Overnight in Fairbanks .

Depart:     8:45am          Arrive:     5:00pm

 

Day 8 - Friday
The day is free for optional activities in Fairbanks. Recommended are the riverboat Discovery or the excellent trip to the Arctic Circle. Overnight in Fairbanks.

Day 9 -Saturday
Fairbanks to Denali    123 miles
Take the Alaska Railroad south today. The scenery becomes spectacular near Denali National Park at the Nenana River Gorge.   Overnight in Denali Park .

Depart:     8:15am        Arrive:     12:00pm

Day 10 -Sunday
The day is free in Denali Park for the optional shuttle bus trip into the park. Overnight in Denali Park.

Day 11 -Monday
Denali to Anchorage 233 miles
The morning is free for taking in some of the points of interest near the Park Headquarters.   Re-board the Alaska Railroad this afternoon for the trip south.   This afternoon (weather permitting) views of Mt. McKinley are superb from the Susitna River Valley .   Arrive in Anchorage this evening.
