I love travel and my list of must see destinations never gets any shorter, just longer! The more I learn, the more I want to see. Over the 40 years I have worked in this industry I have had the opportunity to work in airlines, outbound wholesaling, domestic wholesaling and retailing. The most rewarding job I have done, is owning Adventure Destinations where we get to show you just how affordable a destination is, even when it is perceived to be expensive. My passions are Africa, Canada and our own beautiful country. I had the amazing experience of managing luxury safari camps for 2½ years in Botswana and also the good fortune of meeting my husband. I will never lose the love of the open bush and African wildlife in a natural environment.

Other destinations I have been to include United Kingdom, Europe, Turkey, Egypt, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Canada, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New York, Alaska, Tennessee, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Washington, Hawaii, Argentina, Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia, Borneo, Vietnam, China, Thailand, Hong Kong, India, Nepal and of course all states of Australia. Awe-inspiring experiences include gorilla and chimp trekking in Uganda, small ship cruising in Alaska, bear viewing in northern British Columbia, RV-ing in Utah and the Northern Territory, polar bears and snorkelling with beluga whales in Churchill Canada and Northern Lights in Northern Canada – can’t wait for my next experience where ever it may be!

I have always had the desire to be in the travel industry, as I love to experience other people’s culture, taste traditional unique foods and learn about the city’s history. Destinations I have travelled to are Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Brunei, Borneo (Sabah & Sarawak), South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia, Kenya & Tanzania. I also had the wonderful experience of a Royal Caribbean International cruise from Sydney to Darwin onboard Radiance of the Seas. Some of the things I will never forget are the experience of a motorbike ride in Da Lat, overnighting on a traditional Vietnamese junk in Ha Long Bay, seeing the beautiful Taj Mahal, enduring a rainforest canopy walk at Ulu Temburong National Park, viewing the orang-utans at the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre and the Borneo Sun Bears at the Conservation Centre, witnessing sea turtles laying eggs at Selingan Island and releasing of baby turtles back into the wild. Africa is always amazing but my favourites are a helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, a Sossusvlei Scenic Flight, a male elephant running after the vehicle whilst on safari in the Greater Kruger National Park, mokoro in the Okavango Delta and game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park.

I have learnt a lot working at Adventure Destinations, and my knowledge continues to grow in selling the unique destinations we specialise in.

I’ve had a break from the travel industry whilst raising our children, who are now 16 and 19 years old. I worked for Qantas for over a decade, and have retail, corporate, customer service and administration experience. Most recently I worked for a niche Walking Tour Holiday company, tailor making supported walking holidays in Australia and overseas.

The majority of my travel has been in Australia, however I have travelled to the UK, France, Germany and Switzerland. The highlight being standing atop the Jungfrau Mountain and exploring the lakes of Interlaken and Lucerne. As cycling enthusiasts we followed the Tour de France for some stages which was exciting and a great experience! Other destinations I have travelled to are America (however this was in my younger days!) Hawaii, Fiji, New Zealand and a short stopover in Singapore. Travel destinations on the top of my bucket list are Canada and The Rockies, and an African Safari. We hope to travel to Canada in the, not too distant, future.

In my spare time you’ll find me outdoors, going on a bike ride, working in our large garden, reading a good book or just spending time with my family.

I’m working part time with Adventure Destinations and am really enjoying learning about many destinations and being part of a great team, back in the Travel Industry which I love.

I have always loved traveling for as long as I can remember. From the early family holidays squashed in the back of the family car, to my 6 month Rotary exchange program, I caught the travel bug early. Starting my career in retail travel I was lucky enough to see parts of the world with open eyes and youthful enthusiasm. I have since been fortunate to work in Corporate and Wholesale travel which has further developed my knowledge within the industry.

Having travelled extensively across the globe, I have had many memorable experiences, often involving a combination of the local lifestyle, culture and food. Some of the destinations I have visited include, West Coast Canada including the Majestic Rockies, Alaska’s vast landscapes via train, road & plane including the Arctic Circle and through the Inside Passage via Small Ship Cruising, East & West Coast USA, Colorado Ski Fields, Hawaiian Islands, Bermuda, Thailand, Bali, Fiji, Vanuatu, Cook Islands, South Pacific Cruising, UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Monaco, Greece, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Penang, New Zealand as well as all states and territories within Australia. Now working at Adventure Destinations for over 5 years I have the opportunity to sell some of my favourite parts of the world in Canada, Alaska & America. Whether it’s hiking through bear country in British Columbia, exploring the National Parks of USA by motorhome or polar plunging in the Inside Passage of Alaska, I believe there’s a perfect travel experience out there for all of us.

With over two decades of working in the travel industry under my belt, I’ve learned the ins and outs of creating unforgettable experiences.

I love travel and adventure and I have been fortunate enough to explore some of the world’s most breathtaking destinations. My adventures have taken me to Canada’s Rocky Mountains, majestic Niagara Falls, travelling across the United States discovering its diverse regions and rich history. I have experienced the vibrant countries in South America, marvelling at the wonders of Peru, the stunning vistas of Patagonia, energetic Rio de Janeiro, the unique eco systems of the Galapagos Islands. I have also visited Singapore, New Zealand, Mauritius and Turkey.

While every corner of the globe has its allure, Africa holds a special place in my heart and some of my fondest memories come from this enchanting continent. I have visited the continent on serval trips including my honeymoon where we spent a night in an open treehouse in Kruger, where the symphony of wildlife under the starry sky became the soundtrack of a magical night. I’ve witnessed the breathtaking chaos of the wildebeest migration across the Masai River, soared above the iconic Masai Mara in a hot air balloon, and savoured the traditions of Soweto in Johannesburg through a heart warming traditional meal.

My passion for adventure and exploration drives me to continuously seek out new out new destinations and experiences and I am dedicated to creating unforgettable travel experiences for other.
