Kenya is renowned for its concentration of wild animals, including
the "Big Five". The geography of Kenya is stunning
and scenic. In view are the two tallest peaks in Africa, Mt
Kilimanjaro and Mt Kenya, the world's second largest freshwater
lake Lake Victoria and the world's second deepest lake Lake
Tanganyika. There are also the great game parks and plains of
the Masai Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo, and the lakes of Nakuru
and Bogoria, in the Rift Valley, that harbour the Pink Flamingo.
Lying to the south of Kenya, some of the attractions in northern
Tanzania
are the Serengeti National Park, which lies in the same ecosystem
as the Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya, Ngorongoro Crater and
Olduvai Gorge. Every year, over two million animals of over
35 species, mainly wildebeest, migrate to Kenya, one of the
greatest natural spectacles on Earth. Ngorongoro Crater is a
collapsed volcano, the crater floor, 100sq miles in area, lies
2,000 ft below the rim and is home to a host of wildlife: zebra,
antelope, buffalo, elephant, lion, rhino and hippo. Between
Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti lies Olduvai Gorge, with
a 300ft deep canyon excavation site where Dr. Leakey discovered
the fossils of some of the earliest human and animal remains
of ancestors who lived almost 2 million years ago. Visit Lake
Manyara home to the famous tree climbing lions and 350 species
of birds. Take time to visit the exotic spice island of Zanzibar.
The island's Stone Town is rich in history and definitely worth
a visit. A superb way to end any safari.
Visit the "Pearl Of Africa", Uganda.
Situated on the equator and offers breathtaking scenery and
an abundance of flora and fauna. Uganda offers a unique diversity
of wildlife, natural beauty and friendly inhabitants that all
combine to make this country one of Africa's hidden gems. Bwindi
Impenetrable Forest is the sanctuary for almost half the world's
population of mountain gorillas, which are the rarest species
of gorillas.
Ethiopia
is one of the world's oldest countries. Awe inspiring, beautiful
and sometimes breathtaking, Ethiopia is unlike anywhere else.
Enjoy diverse highlights such as a remote island chapel on the
Lake Tana, the Blue Nile Falls, buzzing markets and medieval
palaces.
Morocco
combines sand, sea and snow. A country so intrinsically beautiful
with heritage, upon arriving you will be transported to another
time and place. Morocco is one of Africa's most popular destinations
and with good reason. Marrakech, Casablanca, Tangier, Fes, the
Atlas Mountains, the list is long on romance, culture, and history.
Bazaars, medina's, riads, bubbly pipes and yes, excellent beaches
make Morocco a memorable holiday destination.
Madagascar
- The world's 4th largest island, set 400 kilometres off the
east coast of Africa, entirely surrounded by the warm, Indian
Ocean. Madagascar is a destination waiting to be discovered.
Without a doubt, best known for its spectacular nature and incredible
variety of unique plant and animal life. Separated from the
African mainland by the Mozambique Channel, the island abounds
with rainforests, tropical beaches, small islands and coral
reefs, and protected national parks. The lemur, numerous species
of butterflies, birds and amphibians, half of the world's chameleons,
and 80 percent of Madagascar's plant life are endemic to the
island. Discover and enjoy the beauty and people of this unspoilt
island.
